About Purana Qila
Purana Qila, or the Old Fort, is one of the oldest surviving structures in Delhi, steeped in over 2,500 years of history. Originally built by Humayun and later expanded by Sher Shah Suri, the fort is believed to stand on the site of ancient Indraprastha, the legendary city from the Mahabharata. Its massive ramparts, grand gateways, and tranquil surroundings serve as a window into Delhi’s ancient past, offering visitors a chance to walk through layers of history that span centuries.
